Privacy Policy

PressWarden is a WordPress fleet management and reporting platform operated by PC Designs. This policy explains what data PressWarden collects and how it's used.
What we collect
- Site inventory data from the PressWarden sensor plugin (WordPress core, plugin, and theme versions; file hashes used for integrity checks; admin account metadata such as usernames and last-login times)
- Account information you provide (name, email, agency name)
- When you connect a third-party service (such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or a payment processor), the read-only metrics that service's API returns — for example traffic, search, or revenue totals
What we don't collect
PressWarden does not read file contents beyond what's needed for hash-based integrity checks, does not store website visitor personal data from connected analytics accounts, and does not access more than the minimum scopes needed for each connected service.
How data is used
Collected data is used only to power the dashboard, security findings, and reports you or your agency requested — it is not sold or shared with third parties.
Third-party connections
When you connect a Google account (for GA4 or Search Console) or another service, PressWarden requests read-only access via that provider's standard OAuth flow. You can revoke access at any time from that provider's account settings or from within PressWarden.
Data retention
Data is retained as long as your account and connected sites remain active. Removing a site or disconnecting a service stops future data collection; you can request deletion of historical data by contacting us.
